"Faith for Today" was inspired by the well known "Banner of Truth" magazine published by Banner of Truth Trust in Edinburgh, Scotland. "Faith for Today" is an important tool that brings articles related to doctrine, hermeneutics, preaching, church history, devotional life, biographies and more to pastors and leaders in the Portuguese-speaking world.

  In a day where it is common to see churches abandoning the simple preaching of Scripture only to replace it with entertainment and self-fulfillment, our goal is to reach Portuguese-speaking pastors and leaders with sound Biblical content in a format that can be both easily distributed and read. It is our hope that by sowing this seed throughout these nations, the Lord will cause some to fall on fertile soil and bear fruit. Our plan, by God's grace is to follow up with books and conferences, and, when possible, the Adopt a Pastor project.

  This quarterly magazine is mailed free of charge to over 22,000 pastors, seminary students, and church leaders throughout Brazil, Portugal, and Mozambique. To both publish and distribute each edition, FIEL spends approximately US$12,000, the cost of which is funded by the faithful gifts of churches and individuals.

  The hundreds of letters from recipients of these editions are evidence that the magazine has become a reference source to many evangelical leaders. It has provided a solid basis for training and teaching in their churches as the following excerpts testify:
